Blower Door Testing
A blower door is a powerful fan that secures into the frame of an exterior door. The fan pulls air out of the home, lowering the pressure inside. The higher outside air pressure then flows in through all unsealed openings and cracks. Blower doors consist of a frame and flexible panel that tightly fits in a doorway, a variable-speed fan, an airflow manometer and hoses for measuring airflow, and a pressure gauge to measure the pressure differences inside and outside the home. The calibrated blower door's data allow us to quantify the amount of air leakage and the effectiveness of any air-sealing or insulation job.

Performance Tested Comfort Systems(PTCS) Duct Sealing and Prescriptive Duct Sealing
Leaky ducts can reduce heating and cooling system efficiency as much as 20%. Sealing and insulating ducts increases efficiency, lowers your energy bills, and can often pay for itself in total energy savings. Plus, if you’re planning to install new heating and cooling equipment, a well-designed and sealed duct system may allow you to downsize to a smaller, less costly HVAC system that will provide better dehumidification. A duct system that is well-designed and properly sealed can make your home much more comfortable, safer, and energy efficient.

Blow-In Blanket/ Attic Insulation
Blow-In Blanket/ Attic Insulation
The BIBS system is a proven, state of the art insulation system using specially manufactured fiberglass blowing wools installed in the walls, floors, ceilings behind a proprietary fabric. The system forms a seamless blanket of insulation that completely fills around pipes, wires, and other obstructions.
Crawlspace Insulation
Crawlspace Insulation
Crawl space insulation, as a part of most home air sealing and insulation, helps maintain your home's energy efficiency. Without insulation, hot and cold air are easily lost through the floor. Insulation also helps to preserve the air quality and reduce cost of energy. There are two types of crawl spaces (ventilated and unventilated )and each requires its own form of insulation. The goal, however, is the same, to enclose the space in a thermal envelope.
Batt Insulation
Batt Insulation
Fiber glass batt insulation is used to reduce heat loss through a cavity wall by filling the air space with material that inhibits heat transfer. This immobilizes the air within the cavity, air is still the actual insulator, preventing convection, and can substantially reduce space cost of heating/cooling.
Air seal (Northwest Energy Insulation Code)
A house works a lot like a smoke stack. Hot air rises through the house until it exits in the attic. If you seal off a smoke stack at the top, the bottom, or both, you don’t have a smoke stack. In air sealing a house we are trying to stop the stack effect as much as possible.
In the hotter months, stack effect reverses. Heat from the attic pushes into your home. If the second story of your home is hotter than the first in the summer, this is a big part of the problem. There should be no more than a difference of 2 to 3 degrees between floors.
Siding/Retro Insulation Blow in
We offer a package that allows home owners to completely weatherize there homes. We would tear off existing siding, gain entry into wall cavities and dense pack fiberglass insulation to specified R-value. We then would repair any holes in wood or drywall and cover with a new siding installation. We recommend this service for houses that were built in the 50s, 60s, 70s and anytime they may have not used insulation in the wall cavities. You can save over 55% in your overall energy bill.
.
Window Replacement
If your home has inefficient metal or wood framed windows, it might be cost-effective to replace them. New, energy-efficient windows eventually pay for themselves. When properly selected and installed, energy-efficient windows can help minimize your heating, cooling, and lighting costs. We are familiar with many different styles of windows, upgrade your homes energy efficiency and save money.
